He basically stole it from the Chingon Index.  They are both almost entirely based on the author's opinion of who he thinks is the best, then sort of cross referenced with a really long word problem.

If you beat the #303 team in the land by 38 points you're very very good and will win all of your games.

If you beat the #298 team by 10 points you may or may not suck ass but you'll lose @ Wazu.

KenPom is g@y.  It favors teams that run offensive sets and shoot high FT%.  Probably very popular in SLTH circles.  :users:

Yes.  I was hoping for a kenpom corrective to the Presby game.

On the plus side Baylor was #45 in the country in kenpom going into conference play last year.

kenpom is the best we have.  someday, perhaps, someone will improve upon it (unlikely).
