Delaney choked pretty bad. I think i just don't like Matt Painter. I think it's just because he is an uggo.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

On to watching Duke. I can't get over how good Irving is.

Dickie V is basically blowing his load for him. Pretty understandable with how he is playing atm.

Watching Delaney fall on his face sucked. Don't know why I was pulling so hard either. A lot for RPI, but also because I'm still mad at Purdue for 1998. I don't care what sport it is.

Elites don't sweat RPI

Sorry, not used to eliteness. Duly noted.

Next week we will be hearing about how Memphis is much better than Gonzaga and how they are final four sleepers.

Oh but you can....
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

That he might have a Durant like season?  No.  That Durant might have a Durant like season?  Unthinkable.

ok.  i did.  i think most kstate fans did (beasley, wasn't paying attention to durant).

irving is on the same level.  won't have the same numbers because he's on a loaded team, but he's that good.

i think Irving is better than Beasley  :horrorsurprise:  hard to compare and maybe it's just the PG position but I never saw Beasley able to control a game live Irving did against KSU and MSU.

Irving's game will translate better to the NBA than Beasley's.  Irving is a sure-fire NBA all-star at PG and probable all-NBA type talent.  Beasley was a prototype for dominating today's college game, but for as skilled as he is offensively he is a tweener at SF/PF in the NBA and isn't exceptionally athletic so that puts him at a disadvantage on defense as well.

One 30 point game from Irving and everyone goes nuts.  He's just not even close.

I don't know why anyone's comparing him to Beasley or Durant, I guess if you really think he's better that's fine, but it doesn't really matter because they are completely different players that play different positions and have completely different roles on their teams. Irving is a rough ridin' beast, though, regardless, and as always, I'm jealous of Duke.

they are being compared because they (irving/beezy/durant) all will have left college after 1 year and all have incredible/unstoppable offensive skills.

irving is averaging 17ppg / 6apg shooting 44% from 3 (and playing shut down defense?).  those are incredible numbers considering he is a freshman in starting 5 w/ 2 other guys who are going to be playing in the league next year.  he's played against really good competition so far: a top 10 ksu team, on the west coast against Altman's junk defenses, and against a incredibly experienced back court from a top 10/returning final 4 team coached by the 2nd best coach in the country.

beasley's first game against comparable competition ended up w/ him by clowned by a gary busey look alike in MSG.

those sorts of caveats are meaningless here.  does irving not benefit from being on a better team with teammates who require more attention from opposing defenses?  of course, he does.

his ability to control a game and abuse the most experienced and talented guards in the country were enough evidence for me.  you were the one that brought up his numbers.

by the numbers, he's not close.  other considerations are bullshit.
