#5, it is time for you to transition from a poster that gives backstory on a walkon bball player to a poster that relays interesting bball team info from your walkon friend.

and while you're at it, relay back to your Clifton-Clyde superintendent that it's super lame to call a newspaper weekly and beg them to do a feature on your walkon alumni.  TIA

Ooooo...i want to know more about this.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

number5? :emawkid:
I love how in garbage time all the players have the cac-looking sleeves on. It's almost as if Frank requires a minimum amount of talent from his players before they can look like one.

No insider basketball info will be given.  It's doesn't take a wacky conspiracist to believe there are chances that basketball faculty/friends/family read forums and perhaps even post in them.  This in turn could be passed to someone higher up.

It's a possibility, not saying it's a likelihood.

And yes, the CCHS superintendent (Brian Pekarek) is quite ambitious.  I can definitely understand your annoyances there.  However, he has done a lot for the school in a short time and certainly knows how to work the media.

edit: Also Alex keeps most things to himself.  I really wouldn't have anything to share and I don't really push for info.

Change your handle, then post the info.

Problem solved.

The team likes him.  I certainly think their opinions are more valued than middle-aged armchair coaches.  :dunno:

Clips of the press conference.  Jake, Curt, and Frank talking about him.

Edit: It's Jamar, not Curt.  It's been quite awhile since I watched the video.  The Jake/Curt Dillards fiasco had them grouped together while contemplating the above post.
Of course they like him he makes them look and feel like all stars.  Everyone has the goofy friend they keep around to make them feel better.  And if you don't have a friend like that, then you are that guy!

Praying as hard as an open agnostic can that Frank has a serious sit down and convinces him not to enter his name into the nba draft  :crossfingers:

Thought I would bring this back from the grave with the recent loss of bigs.

Possible more play time on the way?  Not looking that way so far but I can always hope.

Frank isn't stupid- he won't play Potato any more than he absolutely has too.  Seems like we're just going to a smaller lineup when or bigs get in foul trouble.  Remember that one game when we were forced to play Pots while Wally sat on the bench all game?  That pissed me the eff off.

While I agree that Alex isn't D1 material yet, he needs all the time he can get here and there to get the experience to get to that level.

I'm not saying that we need Alex as a staple, but when we're in a position for guaranteed victory, I think Frank should be throwing in the noobs more often.

We're not going to try to make him better.  Honestly, he's basically a team mascot.  He gets all the benefits that come with being on the team and even a minute of gametime here and there, that's it.  If he seriously wanted to get better, he should have went to a juco or D2 school where he could actually get some PT.
