Scratch Bess off!
------
Bess had some good things to say about his KSU visit, and as mentioned above, our staff is still going strong after him, would be great to see KSU land him. Thank you Brian Snow:
Three-star small forward Javon Bess is coming off of one official visit, and now a second one is set up. For Bess his recruiting process is beginning to come to an end, and a decision doesn't seem too far away.
This past weekend Kansas State had Bess on campus, and the 6-foot-5 small forward said it was a great time.
"I took my official last weekend," said Bess. "I liked it a lot, it was nicer and better than I expected. The campus is beautiful and the academic advisor seemed nice and knew what she was doing. The arena and all of the facilities were nice, everything was real good."
Before checking out K-State, Bess took an unofficial visit to Michigan State, and another trip has already been set up.
"It went pretty good," said Bess of his unofficial to East Lansing. "I didn't get a chance to see a lot like I got a chance to see at Kansas State which is why I planned an official visit up there this weekend."
He continued about the Spartans, "When I went to Michigan State before I just got to talk to the coaches and see practice. So on my official visit I will get to see everything."
Along with Kansas State and Michigan State, Dayton is firmly in the mix for Bess, and the Flyers have done a very good job of recruiting him.
"I have a great relationship with all of their coaches and they have seen me the most so that means a lot to me," said Bess of Dayton. "They know what I need to work on and what I am good at."
For now Bess says those are his main three schools, but he hasn't quite completely closed things off to those three schools.
"It is kind of just those three, but Indiana has also been calling some, but for right now it is those three," said Bess.
He continued, "I have been talking to Indiana a little bit, but the process is coming to an end. If they offer then I will figure it out, but for right now it is Michigan State, Kansas State, and Dayton."
When it comes to a decision, the schools involved might not have to wait too much longer.
"I am not sure on a decision, maybe in the next couple of weeks," said Bess. "I just know I will be signing in the early signing period."
