What I'm worried about is that this may have been two seperate incidents occurring in both his junior and senior seasons as one Marquette fan pointed out. Or that it may have been related to beating up a girl.

He wouldn't be here if that was the case. Currie would make damn sure of it.

This dude says Neville Fincher has recommitted to us for '14...

http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/04/23/has-malek-harris-committed-to-kansas-state/

anybody???   :dunno:

I think the writer is confused. I'm pretty sure Fincher has to be in juco at least two years because he went there for academic issues. He mentions Bolden as a transfer but not Edwards so maybe he accidentally got Edwards and Fincher confused.

The guy mentioned Nino Williams as a rising senior, so maybe this guy is just an idiot  :dunno:

Yeah, he mentions Williams and Westicles as the "rising" players for us, so I assume he's pointing out the position that Harris will likely compete for at K-State. :dunno:

deuce is gonna deuce

I was just trying to be humorous. Fincher was a non-qualifier, so he has to attend juco for two years. He won't be here next year, or probably ever.

It seems pretty clear to me that its a substance/alcohol thing. Typical 3 strikes process that most high schools use.

He's got his guys now, tho. EFF those rift rats from frank.  :Woot:
Frank left behind a roster with some holes in it, and even Will Spradling, but those guys were the rocks to keeping a program going when they could have just BID and gutted it themselves. Despite all of Frank's emotional abuse he left a core of guys willing to stick around and win a championship with better X and Oers at the helm. Frank will find success at SC, and the more of it he comes by makes all the jabs from the Kansas State fanbase look petty. Sorry to insert this crap into a recruiting thread but somebody needs to account for the good Frank and his players did, even if those same people are happy with Weber/not BID. Gip was the leader on last year's team, without leadership teams suck. Frank helped build that.

On an up note the Harris news is very welcome, he plays with urgency. It's worth mentioning that an offense can only run as quickly as its slowest player. With Spradling gone Kansas State will be entering some next level s***. Should be more exciting to watch assuming the PGs can really take care of the ball.

I was being sarcastic. Everyone knows where the core came from w/ Weber's success. It's just fun to jab at all the BID'rs who called #TeamWeberPeeps dumbasses for a whole year. The talking point was, we were mumped when franks guys were gone, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Shane and Will sucked taints last year for the most part. Weber's freshman last season were bonified studs.

No worries, dude. The BID'rs VS. Webberetts is a long lasting battle. It won't be over till he's gone. It's good for the board tho. Very entertaining.

i've got news for you, the debate will keep raging long after he's gone, just see your nearest illinois fan board. (actually don't, they're awful. every single one of them. just take my word for it.)

Well maybe there's room for another yet to be named paradigm, neither pro Weber nor BID. Paradigm assumes the following:

1. Frank has a limited shelf life as a coach. Despite his success his persona will wear thin on any fanbase/administration in a matter of years. Will likely spend his career jumping ship every 5 years leaving programs in better shape with tougher players than when he arrived.

   i) It should also be noted that not every Frank team was the 2009-2010 team. The  on those teams were predominately Delonte's
players. Delonte left because he couldn't even get players to buy into Frank anymore, aka frank would never have another 09-10 team at kansas state ever again. That s*** sure was adorable though.

2. Following Franks departure, the Kansas State fanbase dodged a huge bullet during John Currie's "coaching search" (said search involved John locked in hotel room looking at... charts?). Weber seems to perform well when he has a good coaching staff with him. Adopters of this mindset may also be "totally cool" with Chris Lowery taking over as head coach should the occasion become necessary.

   i) For consideration: If Frank didn't leave behind tough, disciplined players bonded by their own love/fear of Frank Martin, would they be willing to band together and buy into the new, incoming coach?
ii) Also for consideration: After witnessing the dodged bullet/lateral coaching move in the Mittie hire, do you really want to BID and let curry hire a new MBB coach? Better to let that son of a bitch raise money like he loves to then let him leave like he wants to when a larger school comes calling.

3. Be happy the program isn't even remotely in bad shape the way just about 60-70% of D1 programs are required to be by competition. Not every school can host competitive programs.

It looks like top 150, 3/4* Larry Austin (PG) reopened his recruitment yesterday by decommitting from Tennessee. oscar has been after him for a while so I'm sure he will at least be in his ear. If Jack gets Krap'd there's still room for one more.

pretty sure nigel and jevon are going to stud out next season regardless

Larry Austin would be fantastic to have on our team as we get back to owning TX.  Great headlines and stuff.

I mentioned that earlier and everyone told me people had backed off him, oscar included, pretty early in the year. Maybe he wasn't as good as his stars indicate. I don't know, but it seemed pretty universal that we would not want him.

Austin has dropped in a lot of the rankings, rivals ranking is in the 130s I think that is about right. I think we should pocket Kraps scholarship. Might be a to get a better player that is a late or mid year qualifier.

If jevon can't figure it out, Nigel will end up being Clint Stewart esk and with his surrounding cast, definitely will take.

Nigel was better than Clent (any season) in nearly every per 100 category last year. Clent shot slightly better and rebounded (defensive) better, but that's it. Nigel will be a much better player over his career than Clent.

Nigel also improved though out the season, he has a high ceiling.
