Duke fan encounters

So head to Howl at the Moon post game for some happy time and there are about 3 groups of Dukie fans....cool I thought that they would travel to see their team.  About that time the piano players start up the NU fight song "by request" and I swear every duke "fan" started going nuts. 

I'm plenty full of booze and piss and vinegar at this point so I extend an olive branch to one of these "fans" and ask if they were NU and Duke fans to which he confirmed.....I couldn't control my  :lol: at this point....wished him "Good luck to the Yankees!" and proceeded to obnoxiously take a picture of this guy for my records.

They end up leaving an hour or so later and his 'girlfriend' decides to throw an "bad person!" my way as they left......awesome.  Never been more proud to be a KSU fan after running into these frontrunning champions.

booed a duke fan incessantly at the mexican bar and made him take a beer bong with 3 beers in it :yucky: when we asked him where he got his degree from he proudly responded told us he was from nebraska omaha. This response led to an entire bar laughing at him and a pretty good "walmart fan" chant

Was talking to a friend on the phone inside the Sprint Center before the game and he asked me what my prediction for the game was, I responded, "Aww I think it'll be pretty close.... 'Cats by 25." The D00K fans behind me where like "Geez. This guy is just a monster, let me out of here."

did anyone meet a duke fan that actually went there?  the group of duke fans we talked to gave some lame story about watching the team as kids and just kept following them.  One thing is for sure, they were a confident bunch.  not douchey confident, but certainly weren't worried about us.  Thought about bringing up the sister school idea but i dont think they would have gotten it.  Overall I had no issue with them.

I kept trying to make small talk with lines like "Thanks for coming to KC all the way from North Carolina" "So is this your first time in the midwest?" and "I've been applying for some jobs on the east coast, how's North Carolina this time of year?"

Nobody could give me an answer.  :confused:

I was with an alum.  He is a good buddy but wore gray shirt for some reason.  It was a national champ shirt but still....
