Holland looks a bit off. Double play time.

2 on, no outs, holland pitching.  i actually would advocate a sac bunt in that situ.

I love this team so goddamn much. So goddamn much.  Which is weird because I hate probably a third of the team.  Actually, just Crow, Davis, Carroll, Getz and Ned.  It doesn't matter though, because I just love everyone else more than I've ever loved a sports team.

Do you guys think that if Alex Gordon had been previously moved back to 3rd base we would have won last night?

that was always a stupid idea.  i still think you could probably stick about anyone at 2nd and they'd play it ok.  how often do you see 2nd basemen make great plays?

i'm pretty down on moose right now, btw.  maybe move him to 2nd and try to find a better offensive player for 3rd?

Sys, did you ever watch Chuck Knoblauch try to play 2nd base for the Yankees?

He once had 3 throwing errors to first base through 6 innings of a game. One of his throws hit Keith Olberman's mom in the face up in the stands. Then he took himself out of the game and left the stadium in street clothes before the game was over. He recorded 26 errors in 1999. This all came just a few years after being an all star and winning a gold glove at 2nd base.

So he was both good and bad at different points of his career, but he clearly couldn't play the position once he came to New York. I think 2nd is a tougher position to play than 3rd. Left field is one of the easiest positions to play in baseball, though. Alex is one of the best at it, but there wouldn't be a huge drop off playing somebody worse than him out in left.
