Nice lineup Ned.  Idiot.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

You're not going to win any games with a lineup consisting of Kottaras, Carroll, Dyson and Getz, especially when they're all batting consecutively. I know we have a lot of injuries but tonight's lineup was just awful.

Said it before and I'll say it again:  every time Herrera comes back from Omaha, he has two or three good outings, then returns to his usual unreliable form. Time to pull the plug on him.

And gotta agree with PowercatPat: what's Herrera doing going inside on 0-2?

Herrera is fine. He's not great, he's not shitty. He's exactly what he is.

he's pretty damn close to being shitty and an absolute wreck when things are close and with pressure. guy should never see extra innings of a tied game.

Kotteras literally makes fewer outs per PA than anyone else in the lineup tonight, so leave him out of that.

Is there a stat for how often a player scores once he is on first base? Dysie Dyson has to be #1 in history of baseball

I'm not a big Herrera fan, but I do think he got a bad call on that Hit by Pitch.  I had a hard time even identifying the hit on the slow-mo replay.

Either way, we had too many horrible hitters in the lineup to win that game last night.

Offensively, Kottaras has been fine.  It's his defense that makes me want to  :barf:

Ned should be starting Gordon at third until Moose gets back. Put Lough, Dyson, and Maxwell in the outfield. Move Carroll to 2nd. Sit Getz. The lineup would have looked about 100x better.

we trotted out a AAA lineup last night. I mean, outside of 2-4 I wouldn't have been shocked to see the rest of the lineup at a Stormchasers day game where we get crushed 9-1 by the rough ridin' Isotopes.

THis new guy they just picked up (Carroll?) flat out sucks.....strikes out, can't hit the ball out of the infield if  he makes contact and double clutches ground balls hit to him a third....

I think the announcers were making fun of him last night saying how him a Gretz were having a contest on who could even hit a HR....they each had gone a few years b/w HR's, and you have both of these clowns in the linuep together....... :sdeek:

As soon as Herrera or whatever that clowns name is, I told my son to look out, game is on the line.....he said "what?, this guy throws at 100 mph".....I told him that he will probably strike out the side, but give up about 8 walks and lose the game.....I didn't factor in the 'ol "lets hit a crappy batter who is hitting .186 on an 0-2 count.....jeesh

Emilio Bonifacio???

Is Dayton just trying to make it look like he's doing something?  I know we didn't give up anything but still... add another to the crap pile at 2nd base.

So is Glass telling Dayton/Ned to put out shitty lineups so they don't accidentally make the playoffs?

Serious question: how would you change today's lineup?
