One of my favorite things about the royals is that I don't really care about the outcome of the game.  The K is a stress free environment.

I've never heard anyone talk about a bad experience at a Royals game. I was at the game where Vin Mazzaro was demoted during the middle of a game where we set records for being historically inept and losing 19-1. It was still a pretty okay night.

While I realize some folks want to tailgate at the Royals' games, I identify tailgating more with football.

I prefer to sit in my seat at the Royals' game and order my beers according to how I think the game is going.

In other words, the Royals' losing makes me drink in depression. Their winning causes me to drink in celebration.

Best of both worlds.

Was it 4 hours prior in seasons past? Also, they have always made you go in the game by the bottom of the 3rd inning, however, they don't really enforce this. They just pester you to go in, and then they eventually stop pestering you.

Last year there was a parking lot guy who came by and reminded us to go in several times, and then in the 5th inning or so, he drove by in his car and asked us for a road beer for his drive home.

I get this way every season. It's been difficult, sometimes like what sitting on a cactus must feel like. Maybe this year will be different... But I say that each April.

Oh, it's not all that bad. It's been more than 10 years now since it's even been remotely possible to care about the outcome of any Royals game past June 1.
