KC/CLE - Clash of the Titans

This is the first time since 2003 that each team will be above .500 when they have played.  :horrorsurprise:

we are 10-4.  i suggest that we royals fans find nothing to be negative about right now.

  those of us who remember 2009 and 2003 look for signs of trouble.  Davies, Soria, Kila, are all worrisome to me.  Enjoy the wins?  Hell yeah.  But understand what a long season it is, no 14 game stretch makes or breaks a team.
thats why you should enjoy it while it lasts dumbass.
anyone that thinks this team will make it to the playoffs, deserves for me to laugh right in there dumbass face.

did you read my post?

Jeffress is awful.

3 walks, 1 run, and an error in 1/3 of an inning.

botched double play
Runner scores on next pitch
Another runner scores few pitches later

Royals inability to close out games this season will keep them out of the post season.

Meh, anything good that happens this year is gravy.  The next 2012-1016 is the real window.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Kila is terrible and will be jobless soon.  At some point people are going to stop thinking someone that has been in the minors for 15 years is all of the sudden good because he finally learned how to hit minor league pitching.  Good dude, glad he got a shot, but he is nothing more than a late defensive replacement at best.

He needs to be moved down in the lineup for sure. Might as well leave him in the lineup until Moose in ready, then shuffle things around. Oh, and btw. He has a high OBP than Melky Cabrera, Mike Aviles, or Alcides Escobar, but hey, nobody likes walks.

Soria is really scaring the crap out of me now.  Can't believe how well the starting pitching is holding up though.  I'm still banking on 3 out of 4 and 1st place  :emawkid:

It's way too early to worry about the standings. The Royals haven't lost a series yet, and I'd be ecstatic if they can just hold on for 2-2 to keep that stat alive. 3-1 would just be the icing on the cake.

Great bullpen work the last 2 days.  3-3 game going into the 10th and lose 7-3.  5-0 lead going into the 9th and hang on for a 5-4 win.  :dubious:  At least there is 1 aspect of the Royals that hasn't changed in being able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...

The score was 5-3 heading into the 9th, but yeah, the bullpen hasn't looked good lately.

Don't think it was a perfect game, just a no-hitter.
