Ventura was indeed wildly inconsistent, but to say he wouldn't have been better than his replacement's replacements is laughable

The 30 games to start the year where the offense was just dreadful really put this team in a big bind.
The starting pitching not being able to put together decent stretches of being good in the last 102 games has held this team back.

1) Despite an ERA around 3.30 from the starters, we only went 10-20 because we only were ave 2.7 runs

2) We are 8 games above .500 (55-47) despite the starters posting a 5.22 ERA (AL ave is 4.57).
We have lost 6 of 7, so that mark was 54-41 with the ERA still in the low 5.00 range. The offense carried this team for the most part for those 95 games.
