After watching 30 years of well-below .500 baseball, I challenge any of you johnny come lately tool sheds bitching about this ~.500 team that's only a few games out to a fist fight.

Yes, the SP is dreadful (it has been since 1993), but we have a legit awesome core and will be in the playoff discussion for the 4th year in a row, which is fab.

Also sucks when our Defense isn't helping matters. Hosmer had a chance to get DP and help bail Wood out of his bad inning. His throw to Esky was high at 2nd. Esky had to jump and catch it. Runner is safe at 1st by 1/2 step instead of out by 1/2 step. Tigers got 3 runs with the extra out.

That's just the way things are going right now. Bad pitching & not making some critical plays

We are about to be 8-19 vs Minn/Det/ChiSox this year. 2 teams that are selling and another that will probably be under .500 by seasons end. This 1-7 skid needs to end quickly. 19 runs in those 8 games isn't gonna cut it.

That is horrible. The signing of Edinson and Kendrys were so huge to getting us to the WS, and he hasn't come close to hitting on a player like that since

I mean let's be objective. Vargas isn't going to keep it up, the bullpen is shaky, the offense is better but not enough to carry us. Unless they win like 4 straight this weekend, next week needs to be sell city USA population Royals.
