tonight's pitching matchup is v favorable. JC Ramirez is a reliever with a career ERA above 5, making his 1st start. We have Duffy on the bump. Hope we tattoo this loser for about 6 runs in the 2nd inning and wreck the Angels bullpen for the weekend. We sweep, and we're right back at .500 and ready to roll this ball along

I want a strict platoon until one of them truly gets hot. Its not like Cheslor has done much

I hate facing first career start pitchers. Even in 2015, this group of royals has always struggled against them

WHAT THE

Cain has 42 career HRs. Butler has 147.  :Wha:

Billy also has over 200 more career hits than Alex Gordon.

Billy had some p good seasons at the plate when no one was paying attention

Yeah none of that other stuff is surprising.  He has amassed a ton of career stats,  and is now out of baseball and yet he's younger than a guy who is currently in his prime

you don't survive those northern winters without a nice layer of fat.  that moose still has a little left come spring is proof of his superior foraging ability.

10 outings from starting pitchers. 1 bad, 2 below average, 7 good/great starts
Take out Hammel bad start....other 9 have a 2.27 ERA
1 thing to be very encouraged about despite the slow 4-6 start

Billy OPS was about .822 his first 7 seasons (about .840 from 09-13)
It dropped to about .713 his last 3 seasons. That's a power guy who might have a .413 slug and .300 on base %. Remember 2015 we had 5 guys between .809 -.847 OPS

But that .840 OPS for 5 years was not appreciated enough. Maybe his 20 HR 91 RBI averages from 09-13 just weren't flashy enough for some peeps

10 games into the season and we're tied with reigning AL Champ and AL Central favorite Cleveland.
