Guy takes us to back to back World Series and actually wins one and very good chance of .500 or better 4 years in a row and shell shock wants to fire him?

Flynn has a lot of responsibility in the loss. A walk and then he can't field a bunt (shocker, a KC pitcher can't field).  The runners at 1st/2nd were his.  However when is the last time Soria has gotten a big out or 2 big outs in a row.

A good reliever should be able to get at least 7 of every 10 guys out. And getting out 3/4 of the batters you face (.250 OBP) is really ideal.  We know about the 11 times Soria has given up his own ERs to give up the lead. Well, tonight is the 3rd time he wasn't good and allowed other pitchers ER to score.
1. Tonight, retired 1 batter and gave up 1 single (winning run scored)
2. Last week vs Oak, he gave a double, single, and then got the 3rd out (3 runs scored)
3. at Detroit, 1st game after AS break, he walked a batter, struck out a batter, then gave up an infield single (ball deflected off Soria glove). He then got 3rd out. (2 runs scored)
So 9 batters faced in those 3 big situations.... 5 got on base, he got 4 outs.

Yes, absolutely. There is zero reason why we shouldn't have made the playoffs this year...even with the starting pitching woes we went through. His rotations, pitching decisions and personnel decisions should not be tolerated if we're truly building this team to be competitive year after year.

Its disappointing not to make the playoffs, but not fireable considering the injuries and issues with the pitching staff (ie, not bringing in another starter in the offseason).

JMHO.

Even with his trust in Soria (I will admit he lacks options), I don't hate Yost. The previous 2 years were too great (and I think he contributed greatly, this team didn't win in spite of the manager) for me to give up him after this season.

Either Shellshock has the mentality of a 5 year old, or he's 5 years old.

Here's my thought: score more than one rough ridin' unearned run against a garbage two-pitch rh sp sporting a 5 era, and you dont have to worry about flynn and soria spoiling edinson volquez's last decent start in recent memory.

What do have, like the second best bullpen in the AL? Where's our offense, second to last? Stop blaming Ned for this underperforming crap-show of a batting lineup.

Yeah, the only issue has been his trust in Soria, which I think Yost probably sees as his way of trying to instill confidence in his player, which I get, even when as i fan you know what's coming.

Injuries can't be predicted, and this year was riddled with them beyond the average. I hope they find a starter (or 2) to be good inning eaters to get to the bullpen. If they stay healthy and find that starter (or 2) this team will be in great shape to make the playoffs.

It's tough because we are definitely invested enough in Soria that we have to give him every opportunity to turn it around.  The other side of it is that he may be the difference in causing us to miss the playoffs.

FTR Ned should've been fired between the ALCS and WS last year for leaving Madson in to face Bautista in G6

So u ruin the investment you've made in the rest of the team bc of an investment in one player?  Throwing him out there repeatedly isn't going to help him turn it around.

If you want to fire Dayton Moore I'm onboard for that.  Might even chip in for a plane banner.
