We're going nowhere when our top starting pitcher was semi successful in the pen a couple of months ago. We have no #1 or #2. :bawl:

Guys,

Since June 2, we are only 6-6 when scoring 4+ runs.   :Yuck:

** 27-4 before June 2

Starting pitching has been a pretty big problem since mocat told us it wasn't the problem.

I wanted Alex to succeed for more reasons than my brain can conprehend
Some friends and I were having that conversation last night.  Two of us agreed that no matter what, we are glad Gordon is back and want to see him do well.

yeah when i said that the royals had the 2nd best ERA in the AL behind Cleveland. now they're 7th, behind Cleveland, Seattle, Houston, Texas, Toronto, and Chicago.  :frown:

Is everyone ignoring that Cain got injured?  I mean CF3 basically Ryan'd him too.

Have they reported what was wrong? Looked like it might have just been cramps.

I'm concerned we might become sellers at some point. But then again that's not really Dayton's style

I was just looking at stats. This one blows the mind. Wade Davis has given up 1 extra base hit, a double, in 27 1/3 innings.

As far as Yordano goes. Its like Gordon, we can't trade him right now because there's no value. I can see a scenario, in fact a pretty likely one, where we trade him in the offseason but right now we have no starting pitching depth, and he IS capable of pitching well. He just had his 2 best starts of the season before the suspension.

For the first time though, I'm allowing myself to see that perhaps a change of scenery is what he needs long term. I dunno. Maybe a move to the NL next year would be good for him. My desire is for him to succeed in KC, but that's becoming harder to see on a macro level.

Alex is in year one of a four year deal.  You couldn't give him away.

WC we're all super up to do date on your opinions on Yordano Ventura. No need to rehash them every 5 seconds.

Just a lot of Yardano apologist. Is it because of his  "stuff" or because of game 6? How many times does he crap the bed before we allow him to move on? :dunno:

There were already rumors of them trying to shop him after his last incident.
