Would be great to get an update on the all important 9 game splits now that we are 40% thru the season.

well last night was game #64, but going into last night, these were the 9-game splits:

1: 7-2 W
2: 5-4 W
3: 2-7 L
4: 3-6 L
5: 7-2 W
6: 6-3 W
7: 3-6 L

perhaps it might be better after 64 games to look at the four 16-game pods:

1: 11-5 W
2: 4-12 L
3: 11-5 W
4: 8-8 T

Worst run differential of all +.500 teams in baseball.    :gocho:

(WackyTuck, I'm saying this a good thing all things considered, so no need to go into one of your  :curse: fests at anything you think is a slight of KC)

i always find it more informative to look at 16 game pods.

well i don't think there's any question that 18-game pods are optimal. the season breaks down into a beautiful collection of 9 of them

Yes the 18 game splits are optimal, everything seems uncivilized now that I think about it.

Hey Wacky, tell us one more time how Infante's $8M / year contract is going to keep him on the field regardless

Now that we dfa'd him, what happens?  I know there are weird rules when certain players get sent down.  Does he just play in omaha until we offer to pay a lot of his contract for someone to take him?

he goes on waivers, and if no one claims him he is released most likely. I doubt the Royals have any use for him in omaha

Nope, he's gone. Someone can pick him up and pay the rest of his salary. That won't happen. So once he clears waivers anyone can sign him for the league minimum and we're on the hook for the rest of his contract.

I would be stunned if he played again.

I feel bad but we can't afford to waste a roster spot on him.

i will always remember when outfielders would play too far in and he would sometimes hit it over their heads and get a triple and also that flip to esky that now everyone does.

godspeed, omar infante.

his meltdown in the 9th didn't instill a lot of confidence

2 out single to Rajai and then a smart walk to Santana once Rajai stole 2nd is not a meltdown.

i however almost had a meltdown once i looked at the box score and realized Soria was not credited with a save. baseball rules smdh my damn head
he was credited with the win since he was pitching when they took the lead.

I GET IT MAN
fantastic.  really thought he would blow it last night.

so did he, he was scared as crap to throw the ball to the plate and lucked himself into a win, 'grats jack!

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

i mean, everyone at the "k" was yelling at him to just pitch the damn ball but he was shaking in his cleats.  he's got a little something i like to call head worms.  hear me now and believe me later.
