Yes. This was one of the most disappointing games of the season so far. After we came back and got 4 runs and the lead I thought we would win for sure. We have won most of those games in situations like that the last 2+ years. Then our defense let us down. Volquez didn't have his best stuff, but with what we expect to be normal Royals defense, he gets us 6 innings and leaves with a 4-3 lead.

He's been very solid for them cf3 and you know it. He would have been better than CG. Every time he came up, he played better than Getz, but we refused to play him over him. It was so bizarre.

he's played 1 year with them, and yeah last year he was fine. not great, not a difference maker, but I guess a league average player. When he was with the Royals he had plenty of chances and he could not hit. look at his stats WC. He had no range and was injured all the time and never hit .250 for us. He is older than Moose, Salvy, and Hosmer. When is he going to blossom? When he's 32? He hit one homerun last night. BFD.

We played Getz over him because Getz had similar or better offensive numbers and better range. Quit being a revisionist.

Giovatella is 28 and has 9 career Homeruns. He's not exactly the one that got away. I know he's little and white and you played just like him in whatever league you played in WC but he's not actually that valuable of a player. We're fine without him.

He's serviceable enough to not pay 8 million a year on some below average, old, 2nd baseman. That's all i'm saying, cf3. Relax, it's Wednesday. I get it, the Royals have made a lot of fantastic moves, but the deal they made for 2nd base stands out every year.

meh. whatevs. I wouldn't have done it but he's still way under market value IMO so good for the Royals.
