We struck out Cabrera 4x tonight. Only the 3rd time in this his 14th year that has happened. One of them was his rookie year too.

Jack is starting to concern me. His breaking pitches have somewhat decent movement, he isn't missing the zone by much, but his fastball is as straight as an arrow. He's a better pitcher than he's shown so far. But his performance at this point calls his position in the back end in to question.

I think the logic of Soria in the 8th made some sense because he would normally be getting a clean inning and not coming in to clean up messes. He just doesn't have the stuff to do that. However, he's not handling clean innings either. Herrera and Hoch will have to be relied on to clean up messes and maybe Soria can get up his stuff fixed enough not to be a liability.

1. Omar's AB with 2 on no out where he failed twice to lay down a bunt is freaking ridiculous. If he cannot bunt he should be released.
2. Cain's ABs are concerning. He looks lost.
3. Kennedy looks great.
