he's injured for the entire season i think

how can that be? we should get him back right around the time we put Young on the shelf for a while, right?

Yeah, I don't think it's unreasonable to think Vargas could be back in August

I guess it depends on his rehab. So yeah he might come back, but if I were constructing the team I'd bank on him not being available

tj is usually 14 months, i believe.  he could be back, but seems pretty unlikely that he'd be back and pitching at a mlb level.

trading herrera (wouldn't get much for hoch, so i discount trading him) only makes sense if you're getting something back that is more valuable that what you're paying for soria.  with the way relievers are getting paid, i'm not sure that makes much sense.  say you trade herrera for bradley jr.  is that better than just keeping herrera and signing span or parra?

and, they'd still have to replace herrera with someone.  hshd is a nice start to the relief squad, but they still need more bodies, and i'm not sure they have much in the minors that can fill in.  maybe that aaa closer that was up in sept?

did you see in the 2014 ws where he thought he'd walked on ball 3 and started to first then stopped with his arms out and mouth open?

Maybe the turning point of that World Series. Royals stunk after that and he soon got knocked out of the game after being handed a 4-1 lead.

Chris Young was pretty determined to return to KC. I'm told he turned down a three-year offer from another club.

i love you too, chris young.

I'm surprised by this. They acted like he was grinding out one last season in 15' only as a favor to Ned and Dayton. Glad he's back!

Rusty was thinking about an assignment in the Royals' minor league system. Roving instructor, I believe. He likes the teaching aspect.

you know exactly what the hell i'm talking about.  but if you want to drive the jason vargas fan club bus to the fan club meeting, feel free because you're the only one who wants to drive the bus, otherwise he was going to take an uber and get surge priced.  because he blows ass and anyone who supports him also blows ass and needs to get their ass kicked.

yeah. Mitch Maier was being groomed to take over, as I remember it. Maybe he's not ready to spot every from the stretch deficiency of dominant left-handers come October.
