I enjoyed that.

oh effing stop I've been to 20+ Royals games this year and 3 playoff games. Sal is my favorite, I just worry about him.

gotta wonder if the franchise ever prohibits him from playing in postseason Japan/Latin America leagues.  I mean, seriously, did you guys know he basically plays year round?

Unbelievable. We're going to see a lot more base blocking and pushing off the bag if this is how its called

Replay was crappy all year, now in the postseason, the camera angles are 10 times better and more clear.  2nd time we have that happen now

players just need to adjust.  pop up slides don't work.  any foot first slide is risky.  can't start your slide too late.  the good technicians (dyson, for example) seldom have this problem.

I missed the very beginning of the game but the radio guys made it sound like the Jays challenged a play (already).  So isn't it one challenge for the 1st 6 innings and then 2 from the 7th on?

Problem is, sliding head first is super risky (when trying to stay healthy). This is how baseball players have been taught to slide, for over the last century.

Maybe they can make bases touch sensitive so that they can be even more picky about whether the runner is on the base or 1/16 of an inch off (Rios was clearly off in this case though).

I think you get 2 challenges for the whole game in the postseason.

yeah.  it doesn't fit with their whole safety movement.

if they want to play with fire, they can let young go one more inning.  but you've gotta get him out if goins or revere get on.  can't let him pitch to donaldson and bautista with men on base.

Our inability to hit Hendriks is maddening.

Dudes juicing. His fastball went up 5-6 mph in the last year.

Couldn't that just be a product of moving to the bullpen?

3 runs is not near enough.
