so basically if we get a lead in the playoffs, you sit, worry, stress, freak out until Wade enters the game.

Just imagine it. Game is tied 2-2 in game 2 of the ALDS. Bottom of the 8th. Kendrys leads off with a single, we pinch run Dyson, then moose singles him home. Then Sal hits a GIDP and Rios pops up. But its 3-2, entering the 9th.

so, Holland doesn't have a role, right?

until he fixes 88pmh, he's worthless.

Not now. Duffy will be the guy to get to MHD.

I felt 10x better last year, heading into the postseason. Wow! Who would have thought our entire stud bullpen, would break themselves mentally and physically in one year.

I feel a lot better about our chances in the 2015 playoffs than I did last year.

Why? One team is closing out on a major slide and the other one was closig out on a major run. This years ace is broke and last years was at least serviceable. One team had a great HDH and the other team just has D (in more ways than one).

Last year's team finished the season on a slump, had to use their best pitcher in the wildcard game, and had Guthrie and Vargas in the rotation. This year's team has a better lineup and better starting pitching. The bullpen isn't quite as dominant, but it is still very good.

WC, its unlikely that the 2015 Royals will go as far as the 2014 Royals did, but the 2015 team is way better. To argue otherwise is dumb.

I'd bet money 2015 Cueto is better than 2014 Shields in the postseason.

I wasn't talking about who's better. I said who I feel better about going into the postseason.

going into 2014 postseason, i was about 90% certain we'd lose to the A's, because Lester absolutely owned that team.

I felt the same way, but it was more like 60% sure we'd lose.

Yes. It's September 22, and we are already in the 2nd round of the playoffs. We don't even have to beat John Lester this time.
