guys, what's happening?

as soon as jones made contact with that pitch i changed the channel to odell beckham because he makes me happy and not sad.

Cueto has lost tens of millions of dollars in a month

Oh well, we tried.

We can't fault Dayton for pushing the chips all in on an ace.

I agree. No one could've imagined Johnny being this terrible.

any other year, and I mean any where we weren't in first by a billion games, we don't sign him and don't have to deal with this.  :bang:

I want to win but I don't want him to get a win.  Is that possible?

yes. Guthrie has a better record than him. So anything is possible.

i don't really agree.  it was obvious at the time that price was significantly better.  if the cost was anything close to similar (not sure if it was), then choosing cueto was very foolish.

and cueto had some warning signs.  this couldn't have been predicted, but my feeling then was that the market was overvaluing him compared to the other pitchers being shopped around.

Well, yeah. I was trying to say Guthrie got killed all the time and we still won.

But how willing do you think Detroit was to trade Price within the Central?

dunno.  logically, they should have preferred to do so, since they could not only acquire useful players/prospects for themselves, but also deprive a division rival of those same players.  but i don't know if their mgmt was logical.

Cueto is such a dick. I mean, he agreed to some radio thing here in KC and didn't show up. Kids got out of school to see him too! And now all he does, is give up bombs!

I mean, literally everyone thought he was the ace this staff was lacking.

Dayton obviously thought he was an ace, unfortunately we got a jugs machine.
