Losing makes otherwise smart people say some really stupid things.

Our bullpen is more than Davis.

right.  but he's the one that's really good.

If Davis can go out and pitch 7-9 every game then fine.

i'd rather see the royals win, but this is fun too.

did everyone think the hbp was intentional?  i guess i'm pretty stupid about such things, but i don't see why morales would want to hit davis.

I'm sad.  I'm sad because we made all these moves and we aren't better.  We are worse.  We show no signs of a World Series team.  We are losing at home.  One our of our 5 starting pitchers has shown to be worth a crap since trade deadline.  So many new negatives.

the playoffs are still a long ways away.  a lot of the current negatives will disappear by then.  new negatives will emerge.  other teams will have their own disappearing and emerging negs.  i wouldn't worry too much about the week of sept. 6, 2015.

three weeks ago, would you have predicted the current 3-7 stretch?

it's just that we probably aren't any better now at predicting how they'll be playing in three weeks than we were three weeks ago.
