yard dog, go out to the huge concourse behind right field and find alex gordon's home run marker from like 2008. it's the only royals HR to make it on there

this. take a picture and post it

Also, if you have a view of the KC dugout. Watch Rusty between batter when we're in the field. He adjusts the 3 outfielders based on scouting before each hitter. Its amazing to watch and see him shift Cain towards Right, then watch Cain get to a ball he wouldn't have if not shifted.

They switched Ventura and Cueto. Yordano goes tomorrow.

3rd night in a row of this lineup, which to me signals that they hope this is the playoff lineup. #FreePaulo

Q: how does Alcides have a positive OWAR? i think OWAR way overvalues steals

I guess Zobrist is your backup SS for the playoffs, or they'd play Zobrist at 3rd, Moose at SS in case of an injury

that would be a disaster. they probably have to keep cuthbert or colon

shortstops are generally pretty bad at offense.  and war almost certainly undervalues steals.

#FreePaulo

it's #freedyson, dumbass.

I'm fine with either

i'm actually not.  dyson is much better than orlando.  dyson should be the regular right fielder.  and i don't really care a ton whether gomes, orlando or rios is his platoon.

the royals won't do it but colons ability to play three infield positions make him way more valuable then infante in terms of bench players.

My current desired Playoff Roster:

young in for madson or morales (except if playing nyy), and your roster is perfect.

if they didn't have zobrist it would be.  since they do have zobrist, it's not very valuable.

would still rather colon on the bench over infante

There is a rule that you can add a player from the 40 to the active 25 during a series in case of injury, but the injured player is no longer eligible for the series. So if Escobar went down, they just have to get through that game, then can activate Colon for the next game.

A player as bad as Colon is not worth being active on your 25 just to be available to sub for Escobar for a few emergency innings that probably won't happen.
