Guys. I just realized that I've been so pissed off at the Royals and they still have the 2nd best record in baseball

Only scored once with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs AND went 0-8 with RISP. Awful combination that will get you beat on most nights.

We scored 15 runs last Thursday vs Detroit and have only scored 15 runs in the 6 games since.

this team is folding like a wet blanket. the winning chemistry they once had is all gone, along with their confidence.
will they make the playoffs?  more than likely...but let me warn all of you now that you need to temper your expectations because this team clearly lacks the magic that it had just a few, short, months ago.
toronto would crush the american league defending champs if they were to meet today.  sad to lose it all so quickly but that's baseball and life at the top.  you can only go downhill.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Thanks to the make up game vs Chicago we only have one more off day after today. What does that mean? I don't know, but as a fan I enjoy days with Royals games more than games without them.

Also, tomorrow's starter for Baltimore is not good - 5.19 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and .807 opp. OPS. Let's knock this loser around :royals:

Anything I should look for tonight? So I can share some solid insights?

I'm a rookie to being an MLB fan. I'll admit it. Growing up in Kansas in a family that didn't follow baseball and attending a high school without a baseball team I didn't ever really get into it. When I got to KState I took notice of our success on the diamond. I started going to games with a friend of mine who had an app that kept track of baseball stats at the NCAA and MLB level. He taught me a lot about the strategy of the game that I never learned playing pee-wee ball.

Last year helped me become enamored with the MLB. This season I have been tracking stats and players when I can, but I am still at rookie status.

What you hope to see tonight:

1. Effeciency from Duffy. Getting outs without 25+ pitch innings. Get ahead of hitters, and when runners are on, limit damage. Sometimes when he's missing, he starts working slow, and it tends to compound.
2. Clean game. During the homestand we did some dumb stuff. Ran into outs at home, tried to barehand a ball that didn't need it, missing an out, wild pitches, etc. Even if we lose, I want it to happen without stupid plays.
3. Top and Middle of the order produce. Whoever hits 7-8-9 (some combo of Rios/Dyson/Orlando/Perez/Escobar/Butera/Infante/Colon/Cuthbert) shouldn't be who we look at with blame if we lose. We had Cain and Hosmer up with Gore set to walk off on 3rd, and didn't get a hit on Wednesday night. Top 6, has to produce runs.

I bet we see the A lineup tonight, after an off day, and with our struggles. Just hope its the A lineup with either Orlando or Dyson in RF.

If Duffy has like a 8 pitch 1st inning, and then like an 11 pitch 2nd inning, lean over to some Orioles guy and be like "Man, Duffy's working quick tonight. He's struggled with pitch count and staying in the strike zone at times"

Yard Dog, if we get ahead early be sure to let them know that if the Royals have the lead any time after the 3rd inning that we win >88% of the time. That's a real stat and you could be doing all of the Orioles fans a favor. Like maybe they need to catch up on the DVR or want to beat traffic or something.

yard dog, make sure to bring your glove to the game in case a foul ball comes your way so you can catch it easily.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Yard Dog, if you see Sung Woo there, kidnap him. Apparently he's like seeing a bald eagle or something. A one of a kind real gem. He's like treasure is what I'm saying.

yard dog, go out to the huge concourse behind right field and find alex gordon's home run marker from like 2008. it's the only royals HR to make it on there
