Easily the dumbest play of the season.

prolly woulda been a double play if zobrist stayed.
That wasn't the dumb part. Morales not leaving the circle is inexcusable.

If your feet are in play and grab a ball foul, it's fair! I learned this the hard way diving for a ball.

That ball looked foul and it makes no sense why it's not reviewable.

not reviewable because no camera has a better angle than the ref and because there'd be too much subjectivity in what would have happened when a foul is overturned fair.  it makes sense to me.

ok.  he woulda been out by 50 feet, but ok.

Umps should be taught to call it fair if they're unsure. Undoing a fair ball that was really foul is very easy to do.

Very similar to playing out a fumble in football...if the runner's knee was down then you just put the ball back at that spot.

I just timed the play... There were over 6 seconds between Morales making contact and when he was tagged.

that's exactly how long it takes morales to cover 40 feet.

We have like a million game lead so I'm not going to get too upset, but that game had several lackadaisical moments. Esky not getting a bunt down, Hos not scoring a runner from 3rd with 1 out, and whatever the hell that Morales play was.

Me too. And I especially hate losing the game before an off day.

That too. I'm too competitive spirited, even though I am not good enough at most things to compete well.  Living vicariously, I guess.

Duffy ERA since July 1 is 3.08, which is 11 starts. 8 of those 11 he has been in that "Under 3.75 in game ERA" I have talked about.  His WHIP in that time is 1.24

Those are pretty good stats for past 2 months.  Not too many times does it seem like Duff is just cruising along though.

toronto is starting to get on my nerves.

Ave 6.5 runs and have 53 HRs in the 29 games since Tulo trade.

Their damn pitching needs to cool off too.

Why settle for game 4 when game 1 is available?

In other news, our freakish giant has become a solid weapon out of the pen.  It is funny to see how pissed batters get when striking out against him.

I honestly think we can kick the Yankees or Astros Ass in the playoffs. Jays will be a war.
