they said it would take 2-3 games to build his pitch count to 90.  his last outing was ca. 50.  i bet 70 is a max, prolly less.

IMO they wouldn't start him if he couldn't realistically get thru 5 innings. His limit is probably 70-75 if I had to guess.

i watched the orioles lose their 4th game in a row (to the twins!) yesterday guys. baltimore scored a total of 10 runs in those 4 games. medlen is going to look like an ace tonight (he is an ace though)

The projected Baltimore starting lineup tonight has only 1 hit in 4 ABs vs Medlen.

Mike Gallego is available to coach third should we need him. Counterpoint: He was canned after a season of sending guys who got nailed at the plate.

i don't have enough data points to form an opinion on "The Clean Cut Puerto Rican Guy," but i do know that Alex Rios has a beard and 8 hits in his last 5 games

actually, looks like they said it's 60-75 for tonight.

4.0 innings is prob a safe bet.  I'd be pretty shocked if he throws pitch 76 or 77

I just want to see him be effective. If he gives up 1 run, allows 4-5 runners in 4 Inn, that's effective

Going 5.0, facing 18 batters (so only 3-4 reach base), allowing 0-1 runs in 69-71 pitches would be freaking awesome.

It's just 2 runs. Not worried.

Medlen, like Joseph Gordon Levitt, has the ability to look young and old at the same time.

I mean, the HR pitch probably wouldn't have been a strike.

Yeah that pitch had like twelve inches of vertical movement
