I want them to invest this money into some short term bonds or stocks so that they can lock up Hos, Cain, and Duff after next season. They are going to need a lot of cash for all the arbitration eligible studs.

We have team options for Esky (5.25M) and Wade (8M) that we should pick up. We have a 10M team option for Guts with a 3.2M buyout.

Rios has a mutual option for 12.5M that I hope we don't stay with.

Gordon has a 12.5M player option that he won't agree to.

The true FA's are Zobz, Cueto, F Morales, Young, and Madson.

Cain, Moose, Duffy, Collins, Dyson, Holland, and Butera are all arbitration eligible this winter.

That group along with Hos and Herrera are AE after next season.

The arbitration estimates on baseball-reference.com for each of the next 2 seasons are a total of 27.5M per year.

When is the TV deal up for negotiation? 2019? I would think we could back load some long term deals with the younger guys and lock them up and once the new TV payday comes it should more than cover them if we maintain success.

i doubt if he's any stupider than other players, so he probably knows his age and stats. even if he doesn't, he probably employs an agent that does.
