guys,

let's all keep calm and not overreact just yet.

it's not a trend yet. maybe it won't be.

last night and tonight were completely different too. Last night was weird managing, luck by the Tigers, and sub par D (by our standards). Tonight is alarming.

Welp if you go back to last year I was all about that Davis closer action.

almonte and zimmer could potentially play the finnegan role this year as well. we've got more power arms if need be.

I want Salvy to be back out there soon. I know he needs rest, but I have to think his absence isn't helping.

Dyson is up 2nd in the 9th. Personally, I'd rather have the guy we traded a bunch of talent for up there, but hey that's me

I really don't want Holland as our closer anymore. Also I think our strategy to rest the pen is backfiring a bit.

or they're showing exactly why they need to be rested.

Holland has been poor all year with lots of rest.  Ned calls it him being "rusty"
He has only pitched 3 times in last 16 games.
Lack of rest isn't a factor with Holly

Yeah, last night was very flukey. Tonight is a thrashing of our best two bullpen pitchers.

Holland sucks.....has not been the same all year.  Davis just got back, so not worried, but if we continue with holland as our closer, well whatever...

wade hadn't pitched in a long time, and like you said, if cain had been positioned normally it was an out.

holland has been up and down this year.. i'm more worried about him.

losing games late isn't a trend.  holland not being very good is a well established trend.

last years rotation worked, so I guess you're not Ned Yost.

i agree.  i was talking about the larger trend of the bullpen being not so great lately.

his last outing was great.. i think, like posse said earlier, he needs consistent work. not extended periods of rest.

davis was fine.  holland was not.  they both gave up runs, but other than that, there was nothing similar about their appearances.
