Again, I don't think Ned will do that again, and again, the inning had some luck to it for Detroit.
I almost guarantee you he won't now. He went away from "his rule" and it blew up in his face. I have no doubt Ned is upset with himself.
Id rather it happen last night, than game 4 of the ALDS or ALCS.
Yes I agree, Detroit had some things go their way in the 8th. If Herrera would have came in after the Gose walk and got hit hard, gave up few hits and we blew the lead, lost 6-4..... Then it would have been disappointing to just miss breaking NY streak record.
Myself and others who are passionate about this and other streaks are just very upset, because the Bullpen was like 98-99% responsible the streak even got to this stage.... And last night, they were almost helpless on the sidelines til it was too late.
