Our overall team speed and baserunning is actually better this season. We take an extra base 48% of the time on hits...the league avg is 39%.

Last year our XBT% was the league avg - 41%.

Last 33 games, Royals are 22-11.  Which is pretty amazing considering we have some dudes who aren't hitting well in the span.

Moose Salvi and Infante are a combined .196
Orlando/Dyson had a few key hits in important situations, but they only are hitting .219 in 96 ABs
Rios is .177 the last 2.5 weeks

Just shows how much Hos, Cain, Morales have carried the team, with Zo and Esky being contributes too

I think Esky isn't 100%. Last year he was 31-37 on steals, this year he's only 10-15. With the guys behind him there is less reason for him to steal bases.

it's gotta be that he's not 100%.  if it was a change in strategy, then dyson and especially cain would be running less too.  but they are running the same amount.

Having a 12 game lead is so great. I could play 2nd base and bat 8th tonight and it really wouldn't be a big deal.

Remember 5-6 years ago when our locker room entertainment was Trey Hillman riding a unicycle to get laughs out of Sidney Ponson and Gil Meche.  Man, how things have changed.

No.

Quote
While many rumors have circulated that he was involved in a firecracker accident or was shot in his face with a shotgun, the real answer isn't as scandalous. Wap revealed that he lost his eye to glaucoma, a condition he was born with, at six months old and that at age 12 he had reconstructive surgery.
