Also I want the 2 seed so we miss Toronto

they'd have to win a wildcard game to even get in.  which would be roughly the same odds of them winning their first series.  so it really makes no difference.

50%^2=25%... Makes some difference. They scare me quite a bit more than Hou/Ana/NYY, but that may be some recency bias

oh, i see what you're saying.  sorry, i sorta skipped over the 2 seed part.  basically haven't considered that as possible since the last little hot streak by the royals put them so far out in front.

Wtf happened to moose? He was hitting to all parts of the field, good power, seemed to be rolling.

that's not good, wc08.  we want them to win a wildcard spot.

True. I guess I just assumed they're not gonna make it happen anyways.

The twins are a sinking ship. They may still finish fourth in the division.

We had a bad week and our lead grew. Twins suck.

Yeah, we also only lost 2 games in the loss column to the Yankees and Astros, so it wasn't a killer 2-6 stretch. Now we just need to take advantage of this home stand and get some momentum back.

A lot of people were focusing on the struggles of the offense today. And yes, Moose and Esky are in a big slump, Cain's looked bad this week (but he's been great all year, not worried), Sal is doing what Sal does, and Rios/Infante can't seem to get hot.

BUT, we had 0 players last year with an .800 OPS, and we're likely to have an ALDS Game 1 lineup with 5 players with an OPS over .800. That's encouraging.

I'm not too worried about anything this week (outside of Ventura) because I've seen enough to believe this team is built for October. We are built for close games. We will have a bullpen unmatched in the American League playoffs (although the Yankees pen is really good too), spectacular D, and if we need a run late to tie or win, we'll have speed coming off the bench. We'll play more games at home than on the road, and Ned will have a short leash on Duffy and whoever is starter #4.

Yeah Toronto is scary, but they'll be a Wildcard team playing the Angels probably. Whatever. Not scared.

We will own the pennant again.

Good stuff. My biggest concern by far is Yordano. Madson is a slight concern, but he's the 4th or 5th piece of the pen.

Yeah I think the next 50ish games will determine how Ned will use the non HDH part of the pen. A week ago, Madson would've been the guy I had the most faith in, but now Hoch has passed him.

i don't think he's ready to start.  and you're right, it doesn't appear that they're trying to get him ready either.

I'm going to buy a telescope and strobe light, and get a room at that drury inn for the rest of the season. expect us to go on an undefeated run through the rest of our games fellas. can the MLB even do anything if it's a rogue fan tipping pitches and not the actual team?

like, what's to stop some season ticket holder in the outfield from calling pitches all season long? as long as he has no affiliation with the club at all can the MLB even do anything?
