I was upset with Frasor after his comments last year, but he did a good job since. He'll be a decent pick up for someone.

Probably Detroit. What did he say last year?

“I don’t like pitching against my friends. … That memory is still too fresh in my mind.” Jason Frasor, Royals reliever, after he contributed to the Royals 2-1 win Tuesday night over his ex-Rangers teammates, FoxSports KC
GH: Frasor was interview on the field following the game by Joel Goldberg. He appeared to be emotional when he discussed facing his former teammates. Some did not favor Frasor’s forlorn favoritism.

We just released a pitcher to deal with our outfield's injury problems.

I feel like we probably should have released Rios instead.

super excited to get orlando back, but why would they dfa frasor?  he's a good, useful player.  they couldn't send down that bad person who tried to throw the game the other night (yes, i know moose is prolly not back yet)?  there isn't a pitcher with options left (finnegan has to have option)?  eff, if you have to lose a player, why not lose blanton instead of frasor?

Why would you be mad about a C- pitcher going to a division rival?

Why would you be mad about a C- pitcher going to a division rival?

Especially if he has trouble dealing with old teammates.

It seems like Frasor was probably good enough to at least trade for cash to some NL team looking for bullpen depth.

He would be one of the best relievers on their team.

he's better than c-.  he'd probably be their 2nd best reliever after soria.  definitely in their top four.  he'd help them.

Could still be part of a trade. :dunno:

Quote
Kansas City will have 10 days to trade, release or attempt to outright Frasor, although even if he’s outrighted, he can refuse the minor league assignment in favor of free agency and retain his salary.

And.

the haters are locking on that.  but his career stats are good.  more representative than the few innings he pitched this year.

Very bold decision by the Royals to keep the pitcher who is better at getting outs.

you're being deliberately stupid, so i hate myself for responding to you - but stfu.  if they'd have optioned finnegan, they'd have kept them both.  the decision you're pretending existed did not exist.

i bet it's more likely that moose will be back and they'll send down one of the aaa infielders or they'll put moose on that family leave list or whatever it's called.  or rios or orlando will go.  one way or another, they aren't gonna have two backup outfielders and two backup infielders.

There is no need for Frasor moving forward. Ventura, Vargas, and potentially Medlen are all about to return from the DL. Keeping the younger, better lefty with a bright future and letting the old guy go is the right move.
