We don't need to be getting in scrums with ppl who are homeless and looking to be fed at the bottom of their division. We're better than this. Now if the yanks wanna throw a few bows, I'm all for it.

they broke aoki's leg to keep him out of the all star game.  be careful out there, royals.

i think we should just tell the As that well give them 1/3 games if they promise not to hurt any of our players with their noodle arm fastballs at our heads. is that fair or should we risk it and sweep them?

Here's what we do, we start this lineup for all 3 games:

Dyson CF
Rios RF
Orlando LF (call him up and send down whoever has an option)
Colon 3B
Calixte SS
2B (some omaha guy)
1B (some omaha guy)
Buetera C

Just let Blanton, Guts, and Pino each throw a complete game. We don't use a DH. We'll still win 1 of 3 and all of our good players can just stay at the hotel and binge watch netflix.

And yes, sorry Rios, you have to play

I know you're joking, CF3, but that lineup isn't much different than the guys we trotted out for the Sunday game vs Oakland in April.

Did you hear Billy's interview on 610 when he was in town? He still thinks he'll finish his career here.  It's like when you break up with an ex and someone says, "You never know what could happen down the road. I just need a break right now".

It could happen (it won't)

I know he's just a fat joke now, but he had his moments here. Anyone who contribute on 9/30/14 is #ForeverRoyal

I mean, he could've hit in a BBGIDP there pretty easily.....

Yeah, that's true. I just don't wanna know how broke down he'll be in 4 years, unless he starts juicing.

I still think a starter is much more urgent

I still think a starter is much more urgent

only if the starter is actually really good.  they have plenty of guys that can throw 5 or 6 innings and give the team a chance.  they just had a bad stretch where three of them were hurt at the same time, but that's not a common enough problem that you should worry about it reoccurring.  they've got 7 guys plus medlen.  chances are they'll have five healthy and throwing ok at any given time.

i'd love to see another really good defensive outfielder for right field.

is colon a viable long term solution at second? if not I'd like a second baseman at some point. do we have another stud that's going to come up? I'd like a stud starter obviously but I don't know what I'd be willing to give up for one. gordon's going to opt out isn't he? are we going to sign him or what? he's kinda sucked ass lately so maybe that's good for us (obviously not that he's sucked for us but him being available cheaper)? I don't know a lot about baseball trades other than everyone costs too much money or too many good players in exchange. trades are ripoffs. now signings, signings I can get behind!

you know what's good about signings? you don't give up any of your studs to do them! I mean, usually you cut some salary or whatever but you know what I mean. you don't directly give them up. you get it.

I don't like signings because every offseason I see all of the studs take huge deals that the Royals will never pay and then I watch the Royals pay too much for a guy like Alex Rios. Trades are awesome, because we can trade a prospect for James Shields and Wade Davis and end up in the World Series 2 years later.
