it's like, i have a car that's pretty shitty, and i've gotten used to its shitty quirks and little things i have to do that normal car drivers don't have to. give me a shiny new car and i wouldn't know what to do, and might complain about things that are pretty standard, such as pronouncing Perez PAIR-EZ.

Good grief... This board really goes south when the Royals go on a winning streak.

So what's up with Pino? Decent numbers but the guy has been a career minor leaguer who has played for about 26 of the 30 organizations. My expectations for tonight are low. Like is there a website where I can bet a couple of farms that this guy doesn't get out of the 4th inning?

Royals attendance is pretty much guaranteed to set a team record. Right now we're averaging 32,418 a game, and the weekend series is sold out already. Last year we averaged 24,154. As recently as 2006 we were under 18K a game, and as recently as 2010 we were below 20K.

Think about this, our lowest single game attendance in 2015 was on 4/9 (a cold day game against Chicago when school was not yet out) and it was 20,236. That's HIGHER than our per game average every year from 1995 to 2010 except 2003, 2004, and 2009.

If we average 34K per game (I think we'll be close) the rest of the year, we'd end up with a season attendance of 2.7 million. We haven't gone over 2 million since 1991. That would be a 1 million fan increase over 2013 and 2012.

Royals fans rule.
