Twins won and are 2 GB. Tigers lost and are 3 GB. Twins are hot, but they won't keep it up.

I know Chen's last blow up was in the 10th inning last year and he had become a long reliever, but it's reminding me of the end of oscar.

Ppl keep saying they won't, which is making me believe they will.

What's super frustrating is that for like, a huge portion of yesterday's game Yordano was basically unhittable. We should've swept the stupid cards

royals games are getting to the point that you can pretty much turn it off after the fourth. if we're tied or winning, we win. if we're down by 5 or more, we'll lose. the only games worth watching to the end are those games where we're down 1-4. those are like 50/50.

I look at it like this.... right now we have 6 guys that are in the discussion to be a starting pitcher.  Medlen is a few (maybe several) weeks away from being back and the odds are not good he just steps right in and becomes a starter.   Im not sold on Blanton as a possible #5 either.

Guts is going to start again here in 6 days.   If he does OK (6+ Innings, 2 or 3 ER), then  that would be 4 out of 5 starts being good or decent.  If he has a bad outing, then the question marks really start to add up.

IMO, the odds are indeed against him being a starter all year and getting 30 starts for this team.   If his struggles and more specific, his inconsistent ways continue, there will be more than just 4 or 5 other guys, after the AS break, that could be in the rotation

The only thing preventing the Royals from their first 3 game losing streak of the season is Duffy :frown:

I had missed that he was placed on the DL today. Either way we are screwed tomorrow.

not really. Adam Warren doesn't look like anything special. We'll get some runs.

guthrie will start all season.  this is who he is, he puts together a string of good starts then he puts together a string of bad ones.

oh, and today's game was extreme, but it was pretty inevitable he was going to get hammered to some degree.  he's a rh flyball pitcher in yankee stadium.  kc's staff was not designed to pitch in that stadium.

Good point, sys. I figured he might struggle with that short rightfield porch, but I didn't expect he would get bombed like he did.

yeah, that's valid, but we probably lose by like 11 if it's in Kauffman

I mean it's one thing to have a bad outing, it's another to have one of the worst in baseball history. There have been like a lot of baseball games played.

is the "yankee stadium" homerun vs. "actual", "real" or "true" homerun the small timiest talking point of all time?
