It's the old 18 x 9 rule. Been used for decades.
When one person, for whatever reason, has a chance to lead an exceptional life, he has no right to keep it to himself.

Andy is kind of condescending on twitter, but its twitter. Lee Judge's awfulness is only surpassed by Jeffery Flanagan. Andy is good at his job, and I like his style.

mocat, your 9 gamer is kinda interesting. completely random, but interesting. I like that last year, even the 2 we lost at the end, we were only 4-5!

PP or mocat or anyone, I sure could use a stat or 2 that says we'll sweep these Yankee bastards.

Well, we don't have to play them on a Wednesday, so there's that.

I like to break the season down into 162 separate segments. If you win 102 of those segments, you are really good and will be in the playoffs.
Right now, the royals are on pace to win 102 segments.

I'd like our chances better if we didn't face Pineda.  Guy is just nasty.  He allows almost a hit per inning but his 54K-3BB ratio is just ridiculous.  Nice thing is we have Young going, so maybe it can be 2-1 royals heading to the 8th.

Sabathia and Eovaldi don't scare me that much on Sat/Sun but we have no clue what Duffy will bring Sat. I think Volquez will at least pitch decent on Sunday.

Pineda is due to for a loss.  Or at least get to that bullpen, they pitched 6 innings yesterday I think.   Young is competing for a spot and should be nails.  Not worried.

tonight's pineda game is one of those assumed losses that where you can only meet or exceed expectations.

eovaldi is still on to pitch. he's had some pretty good outings recently.
