Volquez really has impressed me. I tweeted this earlier but he has only allowed 28 ERs in his last 134.1 Innings. That covers 20 starts and is a 1.88 ERA. Only 1 of those 20 starts has he allowed more than 3 ERs.

So far as a Royal .... 22 2/3 Innings, 5 ER and only 14 hits allowed. ERA of 1.99 and a WHIP of 0.75

Volquez is solid. Good acquisition for us. The Royals expect him to also help mentor the young starters. Ned has said so many times, as has Dayton.

I might agree with this. Kratz isn't the worst catcher I've ever seen, but we get ran on pretty aggressively when Salvy's out. I was at the game last night and he was hitting the ball very hard. Look for him to go on a nice little run here.

We don't have a 159 stars for "KC" to put a "W" on. How does this work? I've never looked up there during a game. Do the take the W down over night or after a series? Currently watching the replay at the gym.
