This may sound dumb, but where does the Guthrie trade rate considering what we gave up for him? I mean we've gotten a serviceable starter for over 2 years now for a guy we wanted to cut?

It was a great salvage of a bad situation and he's outplayed his contract IMO

I hope the Royals do well. This year rather than getting in my usual snide remarks (which were perfectly appropriate given nearly 3 decades of futility), I'll wait until later in the years as the worlds most ridiculously long professional sports season sloths by.

When does the WS finally wrap up this year? Week 10 or 11 of the NFL season?
