Former Red Sox 1st round pick who has only played 23 MLB games. Athletic but his stats indicate he can't hit that well.....yet.... I have no idea what we plan to do with him but if the plan is he play CF and Cain plays RF everyday then that is not a good plan.

I was assuming they just plan on him being the Omaha based injury call up

good pickup.  still young enough to have some upside and basically free.

laroche got a fair bit of money from the white sox, but only two years.  i'm not giving up hope on the fa signings yet.  are there any fa players that hit well enough to dh, but can also backup catch?

Raul Ibanez & Don Wakamatsu (current Royals bench coach) are both finalists for the Rays manager.

So I am in San Diego this week on vacation, wearing my Royals hat frequently...get lots of really nice compliments on this past season, which is fun to hear...

....meanwhile at an ice cream joint last night a guy says "Hey Royals fan!  Great season!"  I replied "Blue October!" Thumbs up all around.

On his way out, he comes over to us and holds out his phone showing us a pic, and he is like "Me and Salvy," Then, "Me and Esky," they are pics of him in a locker room with the guys.  Turns out the dude works for MLB and hung out with them in Japan.  He said they were great guys (duh) and that he is a big Royals fan now as a result. Was really cool.

I don't believe Josh had ever been to the postseason. Nice that the Royals got him there in his last season.

Pretty great. We're used to getting people patting us on the back coast to coast for being KSU Cat fans, now we get it for being stud Royals fans too
