This is more of a general baseball question with a bit of a lead in. I know that it always hurts when a team loses the World Series, especially when they get their first shot at one in a long time. We experienced/ are experiencing that with the Royals. But then fan posts all of the ALCS, WC etc. celebrations.

To me the big one is winning the American League, but the question is whether or not interleague play cheapens an AL title. Does it? I think it does, especially with the new way of just sprinkling interleague games randomly throughout the schedule.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Somebody get in here with a little Vtamin C playing over a slideshow of all the happy moments. It's what we need right now.

if lil sd came to my door i would give him a king size reeses pb cup, 3 bags of M&Ms (not fun sized- regular size), and 18 snickers bars. then i would hand sd and mrs dave a 24 oz miller lite and all at once give them a big hug because we are all grown up royals fans going through this tough time together.

if cartier came to my door at the same time i would throw rocks at him and tell him to "man up" and set a good example for lil sd.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

This team didn't deserve to be on equal footing to George Brett's 85 squad.

I'm not sure how interleague would cheapen an AL title.

When we got there we swept LA and Baltimore. I don't think there is anything cheap about that. Damn.

I guess interleague play makes the leagues more like conferences.

I like it because I live close to Denver and got to be Royal this year along with a pretty good contingent of fans in the area.  I also like to see the differences in the style of play.

This will be the most interesting off-season in Royals' history. So many key players are eligible for arbitration. The KCR will not pick up Billy's $12.5 million option--but will they bring him back for less $, which Billy clearly indicates he's willing to do? Will they pick up Luke? Too many uncertainties there with Luke's TMJ surgery, so I don't think they will. And so many players are arb-eligible, who will cost the Royals' a lot of money to keep.

Bottom line? They search for a big bat, and that's it. And they decline on on Downs, Ibanez (the Yanks are talking to hm as their hitting coach). No reason to keep Downs. Release Kratz because they have Pena in the pipeline and just traded for another backup catcher.

cartier drunk texted me about a million "what-if's" last night  :frown:
"I started calling him John during the game, cause he was rocking it like No. 7 -- like Elway," Harper said."
