We've been pretty $ all post season as a team with RISP. I'm not gonna freak out that we couldn't execute against Bumgarner. That crap is just gonna happen against him.

one thing we have not talked about, but, Omar Infante is healthy again, and this has nothing to do with the home run last night. I mean defensively he can throw again, which is huge and it makes me very happy.

mocat, I too, am happy about this. Although his throws don't seem to have the "zip" or "pep" I like to see.

i listened to some pitcher guy on the radio talking about shields.  said that he is twisting too much when he pitches or something like that.  which apparently makes his pitches move too straight, especially the changup.  the royals should have him try twisting less the next time he has to pitch.

the pitcher guy said it was a common problem for shields.  he has to always fight being overly twisty - that's when he goes in his bad stretches.  i think it was a teammate from tampa or maybe a coach.

He hasn't been good this postseason (or really any postseason since his first one with Tampa Bay), but I don't think 11 days rest helped him last night either. I hope he pitches well in game 5. He had some big wins for us this year, it would be nice to see one of those dominant performances with only 1 or 2 runs over 8 innings.
