i'm serious.  wtf is wrong with baseball?  it's bad enough that regular season games are on at noon during the week, but a rough ridin' playoff game during the rough ridin' day?  that's the stupidest thing i've ever heard.  they literally do not want exposure

eastcoasterners are saying the same thing about the the tues start time.  lots of old people (baseball fans) go to bed early.

End of game hits right around East coast early prime time.  I assume there is an NLCS that day that they get right in the west coast prime time.

yeah, i know.  and i know they don't want to compete against each other (nlcs has the 3pm slot on tuesday), but it's absolutely mindblowing to have playoff games during the day.  5pm central is the absolute earliest a playoff game should start on a weekday.  they are basically saying they don't give a eff at all about the west coast with these start times.

Its a cool afternoon. The sky is a beautiful fall deep red at sunset, the wind blowing gently. Fans pack the stands in their blue sweatshirts, sipping cider and hot chocolate. A man they call Holland strikes out a man they call Jones, and a celebration ensues down on the field. For on this fall day, one team has become Royalty on a lovely fall afternoon. The Royals have won the American League, and its not even dark outside.
