so they used him with 2 outs in the 9th instead of 0 outs in the 5th. more valuable because it was in the 9th? i don't buy it.

Much better chance there than in the 5th. Yeah Salvy sucks at the plate but his D is worth it. Also, at least gore made it to 2nd wouldn't have in the 5th
