i think he let ventura throw too many pitches. it was a 7 run lead, pull him at the start of the inning. all those extra pitches add up eventually (i think).

It looked like Yost wanted to yank him and Eidland talked him out of it. Eidland has been fabulous

I would have thought that somebody in the 70s or 80s would have made it longer. I'm not surprised that no one recently hasn't made it that long
