Guthrie could have turned it around when he had only given up 7 baserunners & 4 runs, and recorded 4 outs. Now it's clear he is in over his head. Time to get Casey Coleman in there, lock it down, and maybe we can scratch a few runs across and see what happens.

i was listening to the detroit radio cast of the poor early innings.  they were in shock at how bad the royals defense was, it was all they could talk about.  really lolling it up.

so, we're essentially 79-64, Detroit is 79-65. we kind of have to take 3 games from them, because our remaining schedules are pretty much identical (3 vs Cleveland, the rest vs Chicago and Boston/Minnesota).  :/
