Last 27 are going to be fun (I hope!!!) :royals:

Guys!  We are tied for division lead with 4 weeks of baseball left.  Soak it in!

I think these last 27 will be tense.  And as long as we're in the race, they'll be fun. But tonight left me a bit drained. At least I was at The Bill watching a CatWin while the foundation was being laid for a terrible KCR loss. Cats made it easier for me.

btw, i think the royals will hit a bad stretch that will induce panic.  5-6 game losing streak.  such a streaky team, i don't see why they'd suddenly decide to be slow and steady now.  then right the ship and finish with 88 or 89.  will be enough because detroit sucks.
This has to happen to make the video montage better.

sys foreshadowing.

Hosmer was 2-6 at Omaha tonight with a walkoff. I still want to know what happens when he rejoins the Royals, obviously in a few days, since rehab assignments aren't subject to option rules. If they play him, who leaves the daily lineup?

Likely. A few days ago I was pretty concerned, when Hos returned, about breaking up a lineup that was working (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) but I'm not that concerned after the last three games. This offense is suffering.

They deserved to lose after that choke job in the first inning. A good team should get at least 2 runs out of bases loaded, no outs. 1 run is ok. Zero is unacceptable and a straight-up choke job. Billy, Salvy, and Raul (lol for him still being on this team) cost the game tonight.

The White Sox traded Adam Dunn to the A's today. Wish they'd waited until Detroit left Chicago, but he wouldn't have been eligible for the A's postseason roster unless they got him today.   :frown:

those were the least of the questionable judgements.  i'm not even sure those were questionable.  letting moose hit against lefties twice in important bats was ludicrous.

i'm pretty happy that the royals will at least finish out the month tied for first.  good ol' whitesox, you can always count on them.

Even having nix on the roster is questionable let alone playing him.

Was at the game last nite with the fam...seats were good and out of the hot sun. Section 324, loge seating.

Very disappointed in how that game went. Bases laoded the first with no outs and nobody can at least hit a flyball? Butler and perez were god awful, striking out at pitches in the dirt.  I told the guy next to me i bet that inning comes back to hurt later.  Lilltle did i know we would have the bases jacked with one outs 2 more times and got nothing, awful batting the whole game...putrid...

Awaiting the inevitable KITN

I think the pressure of the race is getting to some of the guys a bit, especially in front of big crowds. Hopefully they fight through it and figure it out.

i don't know why they wanted him on the roster.  if they're going to have him, they should have used him defensively, but ph willingham for him when he came up.

but then, they should have already ph willingham for moose, putting in colon on defense, so they would have had to use nix at 1st anyways when they pr butler.
