idk why everyone is so butthurt about this. we never make any big movies at the deadline. we made a very meh move and were gonna try to make the playoffs with the team we have, which is right in the thick of a wild card run.

were not the yankees. this isnt anything new... who cares? lets just win games and see if we can make it.

In 77 starts, Vargas Shields Duffy and Ventura have a 3.26 ERA.  Since May 6, Davis Holland and Herrera have a 1.08 ERA in 92 innings.  It's just a damn shame we have to waste these pitching numbers.

this thread needs more negative energy leadership. positivity got us in this mess to begin with.

Dayton Moore is a piece of crap, and we see why every damn night. His organizational philosophy, which doesn't include walks or homeruns, has made us anemic as an offensive team. This pitching staff IS good enough to win a division, yet the way that loser drafts has made it like pushing a school bus up a mountain. He won't admit mistakes, he GMs like Ned manages, on "feel" and "instinct" and hope. Its bull crap.

Posnanski wrote this about the A's, who just kick ass every night, and it sums it up:

Billy Beane makes it clear: They will not make decisions based on what they hope will happen. Optimism is not a strategy.

Dayton Moore says this:

When I look at our roster, I believe all of our players who are signed long-term, that are under control, they are all going to get better. That's a comforting feeling. Is it just going to happen?
