i'm not a huge fan of OWAR but i kind of actually am. it is very arbitrary but it definitely paints a good picture of who has been productive and who has not. i include the number of AB's because OWAR is a cumulative stat. i also only included players with 150+ ABs.

Gordon 1.9 (343)
Escobar 1.9 (350)
Dyson 1.1 (161)
Cain 1.0 (273)
Infante 0.8 (307)
Moustakas 0.5 (253)
Aoki 0.4 (286)
Hosmer -0.1 (397)

For reference, these are the best and worst OWARs on the team the last few years (at least 300 ABs)

2011:
Gordon 5.1 (611)
Getz 0.4 (380)

2012:
Gordon 3.8 (642)
Francoeur -1.1 (561)

Hosmer 3.1 (623)
Escobar -0.3 (607)

the 2011 offense, my god. do you guys realize the royals had the 7th best SLG and OPS in the MLB that year?

the thing that is kind of stupid about OWAR is that it is all based on the defensive position you play. if Getz was a DH his numbers would be probably worse than Billy's.

did some research this morning, there are over 250 players with more homers than billy including raul ibanez,two pitchers over half of those players dont make as much as billy does
