I feel like there's always been a Nebraska day. Last year's was the amazing Red Sox game. It was stupid they picked a premium (and red) opponent for the NU day

I heard a chant of Go Big Red when I got inside the stadium and I damn near turned around and walked out.

Are you sure those weren't just bandwagon Red Sox fans that come down from Fremont every season?

I guess he wanted to play in the NL, there was nothing the royals (or any other AL team) could do

Really? He hates the mere thought of pitchers hitting.  This wasn't an "NL or Bust" FA period for erv

Ventura topped 100 mph in today's game.  Should we schedule that tommy john now or cross that bridge when we get to it?

Swing and a miss Dayton.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

So he signs with the Braves for the same amount the Royals offered as their qualifying offer? And the best he can say is he wanted to "try" the NL? Looks like Dayton meant it when he said the answer was "within" the Royals' roster.   :dunno:

Guess it makes sense. If he wasn't going to stay in KC might as deal with Moore's old club. They still get the draft pick right?

In the "compensatory round," which follows the first round, the Royals get a pick.

The draft pick was a better deal than whatever deal the Royals would've had to have made to sign Santana.

It hard to believe the Royals organization hasn't been to the playoffs in 29 straight years.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

Royals look good tonight. Spring training means nothing but Ventura looks good and Moose is smashing the ball.

Also I'm not usually a fan of green SPD alternatives but our guys look sharp.

Ventura's curve was absolutely nasty in the first inning. Got interrupted after that so don't know how he finished up.

This answers my question when an interruption prevented me from watching the rest of the game. This guy may have the best curve in the big leagues.

He hit 100+ 6 times, 3 times in the 6th.  :Wha:

Also, moose rough ridin' mashed the ball last night. His timing looks so much better.

Moose is the game changer this year. If Gordon, Hos and Perez hit the same clip they did last year and Moose steps up to that level, we'll be pretty salty at the plate. I've been around for years and years of Royals letdown, but this year has be a little
